Jones graduated from University of North Texas with a bachelors of science degree in emergency administration and disaster planning. Shortly thereafter, he obtained his teaching requirements and began his coaching career in 2015.
A native of Decatur, TX, Jones and his wife Baleigh have one son, Benjamin (3).
